Chef special veggie dosa was super, an acquired taste with the 3 different sources, my favourite source was the peanut coconut white chutney. Chilli Chicken had great flavor, the sauce was delicious and the seasoning was spot on. However, it was clearly made with frozen chicken, which took away from the overall quality. As much as I enjoyed the taste, the use of frozen meat is a definite downside.

After Few More Attempts... Review for Dosa Hut (Ballarat Location)
I recently dined at Dosa Hut, and overall, the experience was quite good. The food was flavorful and well-prepared, maintaining the quality I expect from this chain. However, I had one issue with the Ginger Chicken—The flavor profile did match what I expected from a dish named “Ginger Chicken,”
major drawback is the location of the Ballarat branch. It feels quite isolated, especially in the evenings, making it an unwelcoming choice for families. Even in summer, the area doesn’t feel lively or familiar, and I can only imagine how it might feel in winter. I would highly recommend the owners consider opening a branch in a more accessible and vibrant area,
Overall, the food and service were good, but the location needs some improvement.

The cheese and chilli naan was so good! The photo I used didn’t illustrate it that well, but the cheese pulls were good. I also had the chicken noodles which were pretty good too. A bit salty but i prefer it that way.

I recently dined at **Dosa Hut** in Ballarat, and it was an absolutely incredible experience! From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The aroma of freshly made dosas and spices was simply irresistible.
The **menu** was packed with authentic South Indian flavors, and every dish we tried was bursting with taste. The **Masala Dosa** was perfectly crispy on the outside and filled with delicious spiced potatoes, while the **Butter Chicken** was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The **Idli Sambar** was soft and fluffy, paired with a tangy and aromatic sambar.
The **service** was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and happy to explain dishes for those new to Indian cuisine. The portions were generous, and everything was served fresh and hot.
To top it off, the **Mango Lassi** was the perfect sweet and refreshing end to the meal.
If you're in Ballarat and craving authentic, flavorful Indian food, **Dosa Hut is a must-visit!** I can't wait to go back and try more dishes. Highly recommended!
